| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa occupying the central field, rendered in high relief with elaborately curled and powdered wig dressed in the baroque court fashion. The effigy displays a low-cut bodice with lace detailing, characteristic of mid-18th century Habsburg portraiture. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, abbreviated as M . THER . D : G . R . IMP . GE . HU . BO . R . A . A . D . B . C . T., identifying the Empress by her full imperial and royal titles. The portrait is finely engraved in the style of the Kremnica Mint, conveying both regal authority and refined artistic quality. The rim is defined by a raised border enclosing the legend. |
