Obverse description Facing head of Perseus or a male deity, rendered in a schematic Hellenistic style with coarse, somewhat archaic engraving. The visage is presented frontally at the center of the flan, with broad facial features and a slightly raised relief. Traces of a possible helmet or cap are discernible at the crown of the head. The field around the bust is plain and unlettered. The overall execution reflects provincial Lycaonian die-cutting of the late Hellenistic period.
