Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet adorned with a crest and decorated cheek-guards, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the facial features and helmet ornament. The goddess's hair flows in loose waves beneath the helmet, framing her profile. The style is characteristic of late Classical Ionian die-engraving, with smooth modelling of the face and a naturalistic treatment of the neck.
