Obverse description Bare head of a youthful Hermes facing right, rendered in the late Classical Greek style. The hair is depicted in short, curly locks swept back from the brow, and the facial features are delicately modelled with smooth, unbearded cheek and subtly parted lips. No legend or border frames the effigy, which is set against a broad, plain field occupying the full flan.
