Obverse description Draped bust of Persephone facing right, her hair elaborately arranged and adorned with a wreath or diadem, rendered in the naturalistic Hellenistic style characteristic of late 4th-century Thracian Chersonese coinage. The portrait is set within a plain circular field with no surrounding legend. Fine engraving detail is visible in the hair treatment despite the coin's modest bronze fabric.
