Reverse description Elaborate quartered ducal arms of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel displayed at center within a wreath, supported by two wildmen (Wilde Männer): the dexter supporter holds the imperial orb and the sinister supporter holds a lit candle, a distinctive heraldic emblem of the dynasty. The design is enclosed within two marginal borders; the inner margin bears the denomination value 16, punched over an X (Thaler), alongside the mint and weight standard inscription. The outer legend identifies the piece as the Brunswick Julius Löser and proclaims its value in thalers, concluding with the humanist motto ALIIS INSERVIENS CONSUMOR. The overall composition reflects the grand Schaumünze and Löser tradition of large multiple-thaler presentation coinage.
