| Obverse description | Central type depicting an owl standing facing, wings closed, atop an olive branch or similar vegetal support. The bird is rendered in relief in the Hellenistic tradition, with characteristic large eyes and compact body. The magistrate's name ΔIOCKOYΡI (Dioskurides) is inscribed in Greek characters distributed around the field. The entire design is encircled by a wreath border, typical of civic bronze coinage from Cilicia. |
