Reverse description Central device displays a large double-headed Imperial eagle with wings spread, each head turned outward and surmounted by a single crown, with an Imperial orb on the breast. Above the eagle, a large Imperial crown dominates the upper field. The date '1764' appears in the exergue below the eagle. The surrounding circular legend 'FRANCISCVS D.G.ROM.IMP.SEMP.AUGUSTUS' runs along the periphery, acknowledging the suzerainty of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I. The eagle's powerful rendering and bold relief are consistent with mid-eighteenth-century German minting practice.
