Reverse description A stout amphora with prominent handles depicted in the central field, with the civic ethnic legend of Sardes divided to either side of the vessel. The inscription reads ΣAΡΔI to the left and ANΩN to the right, referencing the Sardians as the issuing authority. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, typical of Lydian civic bronze coinage of the late Hellenistic period.
