Reverse description The arms of Nueva Granada occupy the central field: a quartered shield displaying a pomegranate, a liberty cap over a striped sea with sailing vessels, and stars, surmounted by a condor with wings displayed perching atop the shield. Two national flags are displayed diagonally to left and right behind the shield, with a laurel and palm wreath beneath. The circular legend around the periphery reads BOGOTA. PESO-25,8064.G. at top and LEI 0,900. at bottom, indicating the mint, weight standard, and fineness, all within a beaded border.
