| Obverse description | Within a rope-bordered square klippe flan, a crowned shield bearing the Vasa arms — depicting a sheaf of grain (the Vasa device) flanked by budding branches — is centrally placed, surmounted by an open royal crown with foliate finials. The denomination numeral '16' appears to the left of the shield and the abbreviated denomination 'OR' (Öre) to the right, dividing the value inscription across the field in bold hammered relief. |
