| 背面描述 | The reverse is printed entirely in red-pink tones with an elaborate lathe-work guilloche pattern filling the field. A central vignette depicts a steam locomotive in motion, framed within an ornate cartouche, with the denomination 0.16 rendered in large numerals within matching guilloche panels to the left and right. The denomination legend DIEZ Y SEIS CENTESIMOS arcs above the central vignette, with BUENOS AYRES inscribed in a decorative panel at the foot. |

| 备注 |
The Banco de la Província de Buenos Ayres was one of the most consequential provincial banks in nineteenth-century Argentina, operating in direct tension with national monetary ambitions throughout this period. The denomination itself — 16 centésimos fuertes — is an artifact of the short-lived peso fuerte system, a hard-currency accounting unit that coexisted awkwardly with the depreciating papel moneda in everyday Buenos Aires commerce.
The fractional value is the real curiosity here. Sixteenths suggest a binary subdivision scheme rather than a decimal one, pointing to practical exchange equivalencies with older colonial and trade currency conventions still in use at the time of printing.
