| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate, draped, and armored bust of Carlos III facing right, struck on a host Mexico 8 Reales. A central circular plug of 15 crenations has been cut from the coin's center, producing a distinctive holed effect. A dome-shaped counterstamp bearing the numeral '16' surmounted by a crown appears below the bust in the field. The obverse legend and date 1785 from the original host coin remain partially visible around the periphery. |
