Obverse description Eagle standing to right in three-quarter view, wings closed, rendered in bold relief characteristic of Aeolian bronze coinage. A vertical Greek inscription naming the issuing magistrate appears in the left field, reading downward alongside the bird. The eagle's head is turned slightly, with details of plumage carefully engraved. The design occupies the full flan with no border or exergue.
