Obverse description Pegasos, the winged horse emblematic of Corinthian colonial coinage, depicted in flight to the left, with wings fully spread above the body. The figure is rendered in relatively low relief typical of mid-fourth century BC Akarnanian bronze issues, with the musculature of the hindquarters and forelegs summarily but vigorously modelled. No legend appears on the obverse field.
