| 正面描述 | Laureate head of Zeus facing left, rendered in archaic Greek style with finely detailed beard and hair bound beneath the laurel wreath. The portrait displays strong, mature facial features characteristic of late Classical Paphlagonian bronze coinage. The relief is moderately high, with the neck truncation visible at the lower field. |

Sesamos was a coastal city in Paphlagonia on the Black Sea — later refounded and renamed Amastris around 300 BC by the Macedonian noblewoman Amastrine, niece of Darius III, who synoikized it with three neighboring settlements. This coin almost certainly predates that refoundation, placing it among the final issues struck under the city's original identity before it ceased to exist as an independent polis.
