| Obverse description | Printed in brown on pale laid paper, the obverse centres on an ornate guilloche oval cartouche carrying the denomination inscription, surmounted by a crowned lion reclining against a sunburst as the principal vignette. The issuer's name appears in calligraphic script across the upper field, with denomination numerals '16 2/3' repeated in the lower left and right corners within scrollwork borders. The place and date of issue are hand-inscribed at the foot, and the serial number with letter prefix is entered in manuscript in the upper corners. |
