Tanzania's African Pride wildlife series drew on the country's position as home to some of the continent's most biodiverse national park systems, but the dik-dik — a small antelope species weighing under six kilograms at maturity — is an unusual choice against the lions and elephants that dominate such programs. These fractional gold issues were produced in extremely small quantities for the collector market, with virtually no domestic circulation ever intended.
