| Obverse description | The obverse features a triple overlapping effigy of King Harald V in left-facing profile, representing the continuity of the Norwegian monarchy across generations. The three busts are rendered in high relief with a sculptural, layered composition, evoking the passage of time and royal succession. The engraver's initials ØH and the date 2003 appear in the right field beneath the portraits. The patriotic legend ALT FOR NORGE (ALL FOR NORWAY) is inscribed along the lower portion of the field in bold capital letters. The overall design, by engraver Øivind Hansen, is austere and dignified in the tradition of Scandinavian numismatic art. |
