Obverse description The national coat of arms of Togo occupies the central field, depicting two rampant lions flanking a shield charged with the monogram 'RT', surmounted by crossed national flags bearing the inscriptions 'TRAVAIL' and 'LIBERTE'. The legend 'REPUBLIQUE TOGOLAISE' arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination '1500 FRANCS' is inscribed in large characters along the lower rim. The devices are rendered in high relief against a polished field, with a beaded border encircling the entire design.

Reverse description A full-length classical statue of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, is depicted in high relief at the center of the field, shown draped and holding a bunch of grapes aloft in his raised right hand. Greek key (meander) ornamental borders frame the design along the upper and lower rims. The name 'DIONYSOS' is inscribed vertically along the left field, while 'DIEU DU VIN' appears vertically along the right field. The date '2007' is positioned in the lower exergue between the decorative meander borders.
