The denomination is fictional — no "1500 Francs CFA" coin exists within the West African CFA franc system, which uses the BCEAO and has never issued a denomination of that value. The "Adler 1835" framing references the famous Thurn und Taxis postal eagle issue, a favorite subject for the modern commemorative gold market. Togo has periodically licensed its name to private minting operations producing small-format gold pieces with no genuine circulation mandate, sold directly into the collector market rather than through any central bank channel.
