| Obverse description | At centre, the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar — the national emblem of India — depicted in high relief, featuring four Asiatic lions atop an abacus ornamented with a Dharma Chakra and flanking animals. The Devanagari legend भारत curves along the left field and the Latin legend INDIA curves along the right field. Immediately below the emblem, the national motto सत्यमेव जयते (Satyameva Jayate) is inscribed in Devanagari script.
