Reverse description The official emblem of the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics occupies the central field, depicting five stylised running tracks converging upward into a five-pointed star, flanked symmetrically by two olive branches and surmounted by a single star above the tracks. The five interlocked Olympic rings appear at the base of the emblem. The mint mark 'ЛМД' is incused in the lower left field. The circular legend 'ИГРЫ XXII ОЛИМПИАДЫ · МОСКВА · 1980' arcs around the upper periphery in Cyrillic, while the year of issue '1977' appears in the exergue.
