背面描述 Central field features a large ornate cross of the Order of Christ, with flared and decorated arms, positioned prominently in the middle of the coin. The denomination '150' appears above the cross, flanked by pellet stops, while 'DIO' is inscribed to the right, indicating the Diu mint. The date '1859' is inscribed below the cross, also with pellet stops. The entire design is surrounded by a milled border consistent with the obverse, typical of Portuguese colonial hammered coinage struck at the Diu mint.

附加信息

Pedro V died of cholera in November 1861 at age twenty-four, cutting short a reign that had already seen serious monetary reform efforts in the Portuguese overseas territories. The Diu mint — one of the last active colonial mints operating under Portuguese authority on the Indian subcontinent — handled a relatively small volume of production for these fractional silver issues, which circulated alongside locally-struck and imported coinages in a market that was never fully rationalized under Lisbon's control.

Gomes records this as a single-year type for the reign.
