| Opmerkingen |
This note exists because Italy's 1970s coin shortage became severe enough that local institutions stepped in where the state could not. The Banca di Credito Agrario di Ferrara issued these miniassegni — technically cheques rather than banknotes, a legal distinction that allowed regional banks and businesses to produce low-denomination paper without formally issuing currency. The 150 lire denomination is one of the more unusual values in the miniassegni phenomenon, sitting between the common 100 and 200 lire pieces that dominated the series.
Printed locally by Baca Arti Grafiche in Ferrara itself, which is relatively uncommon — many issuers contracted larger commercial printers.
