| Reverse description | Central field bears the bold denomination numeral 150 with the legend LIRA below and the date 1978 beneath that, all within an open wreath composed of a wheat ear to the left and an olive branch to the right, their stems crossing at the base. Above the wreath at the top of the field, the Turkish national emblem of a crescent and five-pointed star is prominently displayed. The design is uncluttered, with the agricultural motifs reflecting the FAO theme of the issue. |

| Additional information |
Turkey's FAO coinage series ran through the 1970s as part of a United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization initiative that enlisted dozens of nations to mint commemorative issues promoting agricultural development. The 1978 150 Lira falls near the end of that program, by which point Turkish silver issues were already becoming complicated by the country's severe foreign exchange crisis and IMF negotiations that dominated the late 1970s economy.
The two KM variants — 918.1 and 918.2 — differ in edge lettering.
