Obverse description The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Paraguay at centre, featuring a five-pointed star within a radiant glory, flanked by a laurel branch on the left and an olive branch on the right, tied at the base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DEL PARAGUAY runs along the upper periphery, with the date split as 19 and 73 flanking the lower portion of the arms. The denomination 150 GUARANIES is inscribed in the lower field beneath the date. The design is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field, and the coin is bordered by a fine beaded rim.
