Beschrijving voorzijde The diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael David Maklouf faces right, rendered in high relief within the silver centre, which is shaped as an irregular cartouche evoking the silhouette of a shark fin. The surrounding gold ring field is mirror-polished and deeply toned, carrying the circular legend. The legend reads COOK ISLANDS to the left, 150 DOLLARS across the top, and ELIZABETH II to the right, with the date 2005 positioned in the lower portion of the gold ring. The engraver's initials RDM appear on the truncation of the portrait.

Beschrijving keerzijde A highly detailed, dramatic relief depiction of a Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) occupies the silver centre, rendered in proof finish with the shark lunging forward with jaws agape, exposing rows of serrated teeth and set against stylised ocean waves. The silver centre is shaped as an irregular cartouche mirroring the shark-fin motif used on the obverse. The surrounding gold ring features an ornamental border of alternating shark fin motifs in high relief arranged around the entire circumference. The legend GREAT WHITE SHARK arcs across the upper portion of the gold ring, with the engraver's initials WR incorporated into the design.
