Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a diamond diadem and pearl drop earrings, draped at the shoulder, as sculpted by Dora de Pédery-Hunt. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, characteristic of Royal Canadian Mint platinum issues. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left rim, and D•G•REGINA curves along the upper right rim. The date 1993 is inscribed below the effigy at the bottom of the field.
