| Reverse description | Central field displays the denomination 150 COLONES flanked by two symmetrical olive branches extending from the base, their fronds curving outward to frame the value. The legend UNIDOS POR LA PAZ arcs along the upper border. Fourteen five-pointed stars are distributed around the periphery, representing the fourteen departments of the Republic of El Salvador. The overall composition reflects a classical commemorative style with bold relief lettering. |

| Additional information |
Issued to commemorate the Chapultepec Peace Accords signed in January 1992, which ended El Salvador's twelve-year civil war — a conflict that killed an estimated 75,000 people and displaced roughly a quarter of the country's population. The accords, brokered by the United Nations in Mexico City, were the first instance of the UN successfully mediating the end of an internal armed conflict.
The 150 colones denomination was purely commemorative; no such value circulated in everyday commerce.
