| Obverse description | The Panamanian coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield surmounted by a displayed eagle with wings spread, holding a banner inscribed PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO. The shield quarters feature crossed swords and rifles above, and a cornucopia and winged wheel below, with two stars flanking the lower section. A row of nine stars arcs above the coat of arms.
