Obverse description The Panamanian coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield surmounted by a displayed eagle with wings spread, holding a banner inscribed PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO. The shield quarters feature crossed swords and rifles above, and a cornucopia and winged wheel below, with two stars flanking the lower section. A row of nine stars arcs above the coat of arms. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE PANAMA runs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 150 BALBOAS is prominently inscribed along the lower border. The fineness notation 500/1000 FINE GOLD appears in small letters in the exergue beneath the coat of arms.
