| Obverse description | Conjoined busts of Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn and Princess Soamsawali facing right, the Crown Prince depicted in military dress uniform with epaulettes and decorations, the Princess draped in traditional Thai attire. Issued to mark the January 1977 marriage of Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn to his first cousin Princess Soamsawali Kitiyakara, a union arranged along traditional royal lines that lasted until their quiet separation in the late 1980s — though divorce was not formally acknowledged publicly for years. Vajiralongkorn would go on to marry twice more before ascending the throne as Rama X in 2016.
