| Reverse description | The reverse presents the host coin's original surface, now largely obliterated and nearly featureless as a result of the countermarking process and subsequent circulation wear. Faint vestiges of the original underlying type are discernible at the right margin, where remnants of a rectangular cartouche or prior countermark impression can be detected. The irregular planchet edge is characteristic of the crudely produced copper coinage of the Estado da India Portuguesa. |
