| Reverse description | Central field features a stylized depiction of the historic Viking-Age runestone located at Mörlunda Church (Småland, Sweden), rendered in low relief with runic inscriptions and interlace ornamentation visible on its face. The stone is shown in a frontal upright position with a broad, trapezoidal form. The encircling legend RUNSTENEN VID MÖRLUNDA KYRKA arcs around the upper and lateral periphery, separated from the central motif by a raised inner ring. The date 1983 appears in the lower field beneath the inner circle. |

| Additional information |
Hultsfred's 1983 local currency issue was part of a brief Swedish municipal experiment in which several small communes issued notgeld-style bronze pieces intended primarily for local trade fairs and cultural festivals. Hultsfreds Kommun, a small municipality in Småland, had no independent monetary authority — these pieces circulated by social convention rather than legal tender status. Long before Hultsfred became internationally known as the home of Sweden's largest rock festival, the town's civic identity leaned heavily on its regional crafts economy.
