| 正面描述 | Central field displays the denomination XV CREUZER in three lines, with the date 1694 below, all within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend BVRGWERKS. ZV. GVTENBVRG. refers to the Gutenburg mining works associated with the Abbey of Saint Blaise, separated by small ornamental rosettes. The design is plain and utilitarian, emphasizing legibility of the denomination and date without figurative imagery. |

Saint Blaise Abbey in the Black Forest held the right to strike copper coinage under the authority of the Holy Roman Empire, one of dozens of ecclesiastical minting privileges jealously maintained by abbots who understood that local monetary control translated directly into economic leverage over their tenants and traders. This 15 Kreuzer piece was issued under Abbot Romanus Vogler, who governed the abbey from 1693 until his death in 1707. The copper fabric at this denomination was unusual — most 15 Kreuzer issues of the period ran in billon or silver — and likely reflects a deliberate decision to serve small regional transactions rather than broader imperial commerce.
