Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with long flowing hair, occupying the central field. A laurel wreath crowns the head. The denomination mark XV appears in a small shield at the lower left of the bust. The encircling Latin legend reads LEOPOLDVS D G R I S A G H B REX, interrupted at the base by the value shield. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic baroque style of the Vienna mint.
