Obverse description Draped bust of Karl Ludwig (Charles Louis), Elector Palatine, facing right, with long flowing hair, within an inner beaded circle. The portrait displays fine detail in the drapery at the shoulder. The surrounding circular legend reads the titles of the Elector in abbreviated Latin, separated by a beaded border from the coin's rim.

Reverse description Three heraldic shields arranged two over one, with the lower central shield bisected by the date. An electoral hat (Kurhut) surmounts the entire armorial composition, while the numeral 15, indicating the denomination in Kreuzers, appears at the bottom of the field. The pious motto DOMINVS PROVIDEBIT (The Lord will provide) arcs around the upper portion of the design within the legend.
