| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of Charles III Joseph, Bishop of Olomouc, facing right, with long curled wig in the Baroque style. The denomination numeral XV appears in an oval cartouche at the lower left of the bust. The encircling legend reads D:G:CAROLUS EPUS:OLOMVCENSIS, divided around the portrait, with the issuer title in Latin identifying him as Bishop of Olomouc by the grace of God. The portrait is rendered in a formal ecclesiastical-military manner characteristic of early 18th-century Central European coinage. |
