Reverse description Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the centre of the field, with wings spread and a shield or cartouche on its breast bearing the numeral '15' indicating the denomination, enclosed within a circular frame. Fifteen decorative dots or pellets arranged symmetrically surround or accompany the central motif, and the date of issue appears in the lower portion of the reverse field. The design is characteristic of late 18th-century Russian coinage produced at the St. Petersburg Mint under the reign of Catherine II.
