| Beschrijving keerzijde | A detailed frontal elevation of the Auberge de Bavière in Valletta, Malta, fills the central field, rendered in fine relief with its characteristic Baroque facade, arched central portal with fanlight, first-floor balcony on console brackets, and regularly spaced rectangular windows on two principal storeys. The building's name, AUBERGE DE BAVIERE, is inscribed in raised letters along the upper border, flanked by raised dots forming a decorative inner rim. The denomination 15 EURO appears in the lower field, with the engraver's mark NOB to the right. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Auberge de Bavière in Valletta is the only surviving auberge still serving its original administrative function — it has housed Malta's Ministry of Health since the 1960s. The building dates to the early eighteenth century and was constructed for the Knights of St. John's Bavarian langue, one of the Order's eight national divisions.
Malta's small-format gold issues in this weight class are produced in limited quantities and rarely enter circulation, making the strike quality largely academic.
