Issued by the Bank of Estonia to mark the centenary of the Finnish Boys — Estonian volunteers who crossed the Gulf of Finland to fight for Finnish independence during the 1918 Civil War, roughly 700 men who enlisted despite Estonia's own precarious political situation at the time. Many returned with combat experience that directly shaped the Estonian Defence Forces in the War of Independence that followed almost immediately after.
