CGB Numismatique Paris issued a series of regional fantasy notes in 2008 under the "Collection Régions" banner — purely private fantasy pieces with no legal tender status anywhere, produced as collectible souvenirs rather than circulating currency. They have no central bank authorization and bear no relationship to any official French regional financial instrument.
The holographic strip is decorative mimicry of euro security architecture, which occasionally causes confusion at customs. Worth being clear in any lot description: this is ephemera, not banknote.
