Additional information

The Auberge d'Aragon in Valletta was built in the 1570s to house the knights of the Langue of Aragon, Catalonia, and Navarre — one of eight national groupings within the Order of St. John. Unlike several of its sister auberges, it survived Malta's devastating 1942 bombing campaigns largely intact and was subsequently adapted as a government building, serving for decades as the office of the Prime Minister.
