| 裏面の説明 | A centrally placed gold-plated octagonal panel dominates the field, bearing a finely detailed coiled snake in high relief — the featured animal of the Chinese lunar zodiac year 2001. Surrounding the central octagon, the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac are depicted in individual cartouches arranged in a ring, each rendered in delicate low relief against the mirror-polished silver field. A beaded inner border separates the zodiac ring from the outer rim. The engraver's initials HC appear discreetly within the central panel. The design, by José Osio, masterfully combines Eastern iconographic tradition with Western medallic craftsmanship. |
