Reverse description A highly detailed, high-relief bust of a pig facing left occupies the lower central field, rendered with naturalistic precision. Framing the upper and right portions of the design is an elegant arc of blossoming plum flowers and buds in various stages of bloom, their petals and stamens finely engraved. To the upper left of the pig's head, the Chinese character '豬' (pig) is inscribed in the field. The engraver's initials 'GRR' appear discreetly in the lower left field. The overall composition is framed by the distinctive eight-lobed scalloped border of the coin.
