| 正面描述 | The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, portraying the Queen in right-facing profile at approximately 77 years of age, bareheaded and wearing a necklace and drop earrings. The legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA arcs along the upper rim, denoting her title by the Grace of God. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a polished field, consistent with the Royal Canadian Mint's matte proof presentation. |

Part of the Royal Canadian Mint's ongoing "Exploring Canada" series, this issue commemorates the canoe routes used by Indigenous peoples and later by European fur traders along Canada's river systems — corridors that shaped the entire geography of colonial trade and settlement long before roads existed. The series draws on a tradition of narrative silver coins the RCM has produced since the 1990s, though by 2015 the program had shifted toward selective lenticular and coloring techniques to differentiate individual issues at retail.
Struck in .9999 fine silver, this is among the purest alloy specifications the RCM used for collector issues of this period.
