| Opschrift voorzijde | 2023 ELIZABETH II TOKELAU IRB 15 DOLLARS |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | A dynamic composition depicting a dragon and a rabbit intertwining and meeting at the centre of a figure-eight shaped flan, symbolising the luckiest number in Chinese culture. The two zodiac animals are rendered in intricate high relief with antiqued finish, their sinuous forms curving through each of the coin's two lobes. The overall design celebrates the transition between the Chinese zodiac years of the Rabbit and the Dragon, combining Eastern symbolism with Western numismatic artistry. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Tokelau has become a prolific issuer of collector silver precisely because it has no meaningful domestic coin-using economy — the territory of roughly 1,500 people spread across three atolls uses the New Zealand dollar for actual transactions. Its coinage program exists entirely for the numismatic export market, administered through arrangements with private minting agencies rather than any central bank.
This piece was struck after Elizabeth II's death in September 2022, making it one of the first Tokelau issues to carry a posthumous obverse portrait under the revised Commonwealth minting protocols.
