Reverse description The reverse depicts a highly detailed scene commemorating the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway, engraved by José Osio (initials JM visible in the right field). In the foreground, two labourers in period dress bend at the track, one wielding a spike maul and the other tamping ballast, while a third worker and a loaded handcar are visible receding along the converging rails into the middle distance. Rocky terrain and foliage frame the upper background, evoking the rugged Canadian landscape through which the railway was driven. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper border with the date 2015 to its right, while the denomination 15 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower border in bold raised capitals.
