Obverse description The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted as a right-facing draped bust wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The engraver's initials 'IRB' appear beneath the truncation of the neck. The circular legend reads '· ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA ·' around the upper portion of the field, while the denomination '15 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower periphery. A fine beaded border encircles the entire design.
