| 背面描述 | The reverse features a vibrant pad-printed polychrome depiction of the Red Flowered Kurrajong (Brachychiton bidwillii) in full bloom, its vivid scarlet bell-shaped blossoms rendered in striking colour detail against a dark proof field. The legend DISCOVER AUSTRALIA arcs across the upper field, while the inscriptions 1/10 OZ PLATINUM 9995, the date 2008, and RED FLOWERED KURRAJONG are distributed around the lower periphery. The coloured botanical motif occupies the central field, showcasing the distinctive tubular red flowers characteristic of this native Australian species. |

The Red Flowered Kurrajong (Brachychiton paradoxus) is native to the Northern Territory and Western Australia's Kimberley region — a plant so obscure in numismatic terms that this issue remains one of the few platinum coins to feature it. Perth Mint's Flora and Fauna series in this period leaned heavily on species with negligible international name recognition, which kept secondary market demand modest despite the low platinum weight and proof quality. The pad-printing technique used for color application was still relatively novel for Perth at this specification.
